Our Mission
Edge Impact exists to help teens and young adults across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania grow into curious, passionate, and reliable individuals — through hands-on mission trips, motocross camp, and ski weekends built on faith, service, and purpose. We serve any teen or young adult ready to step out of their comfort zone and get involved, regardless of religious background or ability to pay.
Edge Impact Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN 45-2455686). 100% of program registration fees go directly toward covering camp operational costs, logistics, insurance, and funding our youth scholarship program — so cost is never the reason a motivated teen stays home. The Man Behind Edge Impact
Ray Desiderio has spent more than 40 years running a successful contracting and landscape business in Bernardsville, NJ — and more than 35 of those years doing something else simultaneously: mentoring teenagers and young adults who needed someone to see them clearly and challenge them to grow.
He has led missions in more than 25 countries. He has walked into communities that most people fly over and stayed long enough to understand them. He has seen what happens when a motivated young person steps out of their comfort zone and into real service — thousands of times.
Edge Impact is not a program Ray started because it sounded good. It is something he built because he believes it works — because he has watched it work, year after year, in the lives of young people across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and beyond.

Ray's faith was shaped by his mother, Geraldine — a woman whose quiet example planted something that grew into a calling. He studied at Cairn University, Rutgers University, and Somerset Christian College, where he earned an Associate degree in Biblical Studies. He has studied abroad in Italy, Israel, and Egypt.
He is available to speak at churches and youth groups. If your community needs someone who can speak honestly about faith, service, and what it actually looks like to build a life around purpose — Ray is that person.

Ray does not run programs that talk about faith abstractly. He builds experiences where faith has to show up in how you treat a stranger, how you serve someone you've never met, and how you respond when the plan changes and the work gets hard.
That's what 25 years and 25+ countries teach you. Faith is not something you discuss. It is something you do — and the best place to learn that is somewhere real, with people you trust, doing work that actually matters.
No religious background is required to participate in any Edge Impact program. The door is open to everyone who is willing to show up and engage.
